A Test of Tea at Goldie Mill

Immigrant Services Guelph-Wellington is pouring out an array of international teas this Saturday to help fund its programs helping new immigrants in the area.
The organization’s A Taste of Tea event will take place from 2 to 4:30 p.m. in the outdoor setting of Goldie Mill.
It will include musical entertainment, including Indian melodies from Komal Singh, Persian instrumental music, and Chynna Lewis & the Baucas Sister. There will also be a silent auction with a chance to purchase items from a variety of cultures, including Persian rugs, Korean paintings, Chinese tea sets and more, a news release said.
The event “is about building relationships within the diverse and culturally rich community of Guelph Wellington,” it said. All proceeds support Immigrant Services, a non-profit settlement-services agency, which has been supporting new immigrants in the Guelph-Wellington region since 1978.
