First Light Theatre

The cast and crew of Aladdin are dedicating their performances to Lizzy Zdane, front left, who has been hospitalized and is unable to perform. “The First Light Theatre has always meant a lot for Lizzy and we are touched by the support we receive at this difficult moment,” said a statement from the family this week.

Aladdin in spotlight for four shows

First Light Theatre’s junior class of acting students will present four public performances of an original production of Aladdin this weekend at the U of G’s George Luscombe Theatre.
Twenty-six young actors have been preparing for the show for months under the direction of Steve Sherry, a teacher at Erin District High School, a news release said.
The show has been double-cast. The two casts are performing in six sold-out shows for school groups on April 23, 24 and 25, and they are also sharing stage time at the public shows this weekend.
A Friday evening show is sold out, but tickets are still available to public performances at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday April 26 and on Sunday April 27 at 11 a.m. and 3 p.m.
Tickets to these shows can be bought in advance at Coriander, 112 Wyndham St. N., or at the door.
