Auto historians gather in Guelph

The Canadian Automotive Historians Association will be selling literature, models and memorabilia at Three Willows United Church, 577 Willow Rd., this Saturday.
During the event, the association, which aims to preserve the history of Canadian automotive design and manufacturing, will honour Windsor’s Walter McCall for his work in motorized fire-fighting equipment and professional cars, a news release said.
The sale will begin at 9 a.m., and McCall will be presented with the Canadian Historian of the Year Award at noon.
Following the presentation, there will be an auction of donated automotive literature and memorabilia, as well as a collection of International Harvester sales and parts literature, the release said.
