Eat, Sing, Be Merry

The diversity of Guelph’s holiday traditions will be celebrated with a special family-friendly event and exhibition at the Guelph Civic Museum.
“Eat, Sing and Be Merry: Guelph’s Cultural Holiday Traditions” opens Friday Nov. 23 with a Fourth Fridays event from 6 to 9 p.m. that includes special music, dance and refreshments.
The exhibit is guest curated by Angela Keeley in collaboration with the city’s Chinese, Aboriginal, Mexican and Ukrainian communities.
“I am really excited to have had this chance to work so closely with the Guelph Civic Museum and our diverse cultural communities,” said Keeley in the release. She initiated the project as part of her graduate studies internship with Guelph Museums.
“Eat, Sing and Be Merry” evolved from the idea that people celebrate their heritage through music, stories, food and decorations, the release said.
