Gala concert for Kiwanis Festival

The Kiwanis Music Festival of Guelph will stage an eclectic concert of classical, Broadway and jazz favourites at the Guelph Youth Music Centre on Friday Feb. 22 as a fundraiser for this year’s festival in April.
The featured act is Brent Rowan on jazz saxophone with Jesse Turton on bass. They have just released a new CD titled IZ, a news release said. Several other local professional musicians and advanced students will also perform in the festival gala concert.
The 7 p.m. fundraiser will also include a silent auction, raffle and door prizes, as well as hors d’oeuvres, desserts and drinks.
Only 180 concert tickets are available, so advance purchase is recommended, the release said.
Concert tickets and raffle tickets can be bought in advance by contacting festival coordinator Heather Fleming at 519-821-4365 or by email at: hfleming@guelphkiwanismusicfestival.org
