Inter-generational dance coming up

The Downtown Guelph Business Association and the Exhibition Park Neighbourhood group are teaming up to bridge the generation gap with a family dance party during March break.
“The idea is that we will play one song from our generation (’80s, ’90s) and one song from our kids’ generation,” neighbourhood group member Ellyn Lusis said in an email. “So they can find out what teen spirit smells like, and we can find out ‘what did the fox say?’ ”
The party will take place March 12 from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the eBar. Tickets are available at and at The Bookshelf.
Other things happening downtown during the March break include family matinees at 2 p.m. all week long at The Bookshelf, and Dig-In Downtown, where kids can eat free at some of the participating restaurants.
