A local women’s service club will celebrate women with a short film festival at the Guelph Youth Music Centre on Oct. 28.

The Lunafest 2012 Film Festival, presented by Soroptimist International of Guelph, will feature nine short films about women, made by women and for women, a news release said.

Net proceeds from the 1 to 4 p.m. event will benefit the local community and the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation, it said.

The event will also include door prizes, raffles and refreshments.
