Over Tones Christmas show

The women’s barbershop chorus known as The Over Tones has a Christmas concert on Saturday Dec. 14 at a local church.
The 7:30 p.m. show called Harmony for the Holidays, which is accompanied by a bake sale, is at Harcourt Memorial United Church. Special guests include AUDACITY, Quartic and the St. John’s-Kilmarnock Choir, a news release said. There’s an admission fee.
The a cappella chorus, which has been bringing music in the barbershop style to the Guelph area since 1966, recently represented this area by competing against 23 other choruses from across North America at Harmony Inc.’s 54th annual International Convention and Contest.
The Over Tones placed sixth in the competition held last month in Windsor. It received the Ladies Association of British Barbershop Singers Trophy, an award given to the non-medaling chorus with the highest presentation score, the release said. Woman seeking information about joining The Over Tones can contact Kendra Cooke at overtones@rogers.com.
