Painted chairs up for auction

One-of-a-kind chairs are up for grabs at this year’s Art on the Seat at the Art on the Street festival.
The chairs, which were painted by students at John F. Ross CVI, will be auctioned off in the RBC parking lot July 12. Bidding will start at 2 p.m.
Hospice Wellington and the Joint Café have co-organized the sale of the chairs, which have had a home at the café for the past year. Patrons were asked to rank their favourite chairs to award the students first, second and third place.
Art on the Street offers a wide variety of original art pieces and gift ideas, including photography, pottery, paintings and textiles.
All proceeds from the chair auction will support the Art Therapy programs at Hospice Wellington. Art therapist Nicole Fantin will be on site for any questions about the programs.
