Photo exhibit close to home

The beauty of scenes from around southern Ontario is celebrated in a photography show that runs at 10 Carden St. from Aug. 5 to Sept. 26.
“Close to Home” is the title of the show by photographic artists Maggie and Julian Sale, former Toronto residents who now live in Guelph.
Maggie Sale is an “internationally published photographer who is recognized for her graphic monochrome and dynamic colour photographs,” a news release said. Her husband “specializes in landscape, abstract and street photography and is active in the camera club circuit.”
The show’s opening night is Thursday Aug. 7 from 7 p.m. – 9 p.m.
10 Carden is a shared community and events space offering citizens, professionals and researchers working within Guelph a place to gather or work and exchange ideas.
Located across from city hall, it’s open Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. except on holidays. It can be reached at 519-780-5030.
