Schmoozefest goes Dec.14

Guelph Arts Council is holding its Holiday Schmoozefest on Friday and is promising that this Schmoozefest will be the best one yet.
The networking event will take place from 6 to 8 p.m. Dec. 14 at the Red Papaya in Old Quebec Street and will include a hands-on print-making tutorial with the Guelph School of Art. Schmoozers will join to celebrate the season and will walk away with a commemorative piece of art, a news release said.
The event will also include the presentation of the Jane Graham Memorial Award to Dahlia Clark, and the Guelph Arts Council Youth Opportunity Award to Carolyn Meili and Melissa Mazar.
Schmoozefest is free and open to the public and is meant to be a chance to connect with the community and celebrate local talent.
There will also be two-minute “spotlight” opportunities, which schmoozer’s can book in order to share their information with event participants, the release said.
