Scottish history to the fore

Speakers from near and far will gather at the University of Guelph this weekend to talk about Scottish history and culture during the annual Scottish Studies Fall Colloquium.
The theme for this year’s colloquium is “Scottish Studies and the Arts,” and speakers will include Sally Hickson, Alan Filewod, Michael Vance, Malcolm Bangor-Jones, Jamie Reid Baxter and Douglas Gibson.
The event will take place Oct. 6 in Rozanski Hall, with registration taking place from 9 to 9:30 a.m.
The registration fee includes refreshments and lunch.
