Second City takes on social networking and relationships

Relationships in the age of social networking is the subject of a new comedy show that comes to the River Run Centre’s main stage this Friday.
The 8 p.m. Feb. 17 show by the Second City troupe, called “iLove – A Romantic Dot Comedy,” is part of the River Run’s comedy series, a news release said. It stars Craig Brown, Stacey McGunnigle, Allison Price and Sean Tabares and includes video appearances by Fred Willard of the “Everyone Loves Raymond” TV show.
Known for its improv-based sketch comedy, Second City has theatres in Toronto and Chicago and 11 full-time touring ensembles, the release said. Its standard format is a two-act revue – primarily scripted – followed by a third act of improvisation.
Language and content in the show might offend some people, and it’s not suitable for children, the release said.
Tickets are available through the box office, 519-763-3000, or online at riverrun.ca. University and college students can buy $20 tickets, and high school students can buy $5 eyeGO tickets.
