Streaks for Cancer fundraiser
Streaks for Cancer will be raising awareness and funds for a very rare form of childhood cancer on Saturday, Aug. 18 at the Shoppers Drug Mart on Clair Road.
This last official Streak for Cancer event, running from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., is in honour of Carly Hillis, a 14-year-old girl who had Ewing’s Sarcoma and passed away in May.
The sales of coloured hair streaks, along with support from various Guelph area businesses will assist the Courage for Carly campaign to raise awareness of the rare cancer and to help find a cure.
Streak for Cancer is a local campaign with the goal to raise awareness and money for cancer research.
