Three choirs, three concerts over weekend

U of G choir
A musical group from the University of Guelph has a seasonal concert this Saturday at Church of Our Lady.
The Symphonic and Women’s Choir will perform Healey Willan’s The Mystery of Bethlehem at 8 p.m. Dec. 1, with conductors Marta McCarthy and Lanny Fleming. Joseph Carere will play the organ, and the orchestra The Guelph Chamber Players will perform. Tickets can be bought in advance by calling 519-824-4120, ext. 52991,

Chamber choir  
The Guelph Chamber Choir will stage a seasonal concert at St. George’s Anglican Church on Sunday Dec. 2.
The 3 p.m. “Carols for Christmas” show takes place in the “acoustical beauty and warmth” of the church on Woolwich Street, a news release said.
Male choir
The Guelph Male Choir offers four-part male harmony with a seasonable theme at a concert Sunday at Trinity United Church. The 7:30 p.m. Dec. 2 show called “It’s Christmas Again!” has Musica Skolye as its special guests, a news release said. Call 519-827-1360.
