Rodger Tschanz braves Saturday’s rain at the Ornamental Trial Garden at the Guelph Turfgrass Institute, where on Wednesday (Aug. 15), the University of Guelph will hold its annual trial garden open house. The event runs from noon to 8 p.m. and is free and open to the public. Tours of the trials will be available throughout the day. More than 500 annuals, perennials and vegetables will be featured. The Guelph Turfgrass Institute is at 328 Victoria Rd. S. Tschanz is the trial garden manager.
