Winter solstice concert at Macdonald Stewart Art Centre

The winter solstice will be celebrated at the Macdonald Stewart Art Centre with an unusual show organized by a vocal collective.
The show called Solstice – Songs for a Winter’s Eve will be presented on Friday Dec. 20 at 8 p.m. by Ondine Chorus along with special guests.
“Collaborative artists Jeff Bird, Gary Diggins, Robert Kingsbury and Alden Hadwen will join Ondine for an evening of musical enchantment, breathtaking harmonies, poetry and dance in a processional concert throughout the galleries,” a news release said.
Ondine Chorus is a Guelph-based vocal collective guided by co-artistic directors Shannon Kingsbury and Sue Smith. Chorus members include vocalists and recording artists David Beattie, Tricia Brubacher, Tannis Slimmon and Monique Vischschraper, the release said.
Advance tickets are available at The Bookshelf and at the art centre. They will also be sold at the door for a higher price.
