Fans of the king of pop will unite in Guelph to Thrill The World with a massive dance event at the end of this month.
The Oct. 27 event will mark the first time the city has taken part in Thrill The World, an annual worldwide simultaneous dance to Michael Jackson’s Thriller, done to set world records and raise money for charity, a news release said.
Local zombie dancers will gather at city hall at 2 p.m. for the event, but they will be just some of many dancers taking part in countries all over the world.
Last year’s event included 278 registered sites in 32 countries. With 22,923 zombies, the event broke the Record Holders Republic Record for Largest Simultaneous Thriller Dance, the release said.
This year’s goal is to have one million people dancing at the same time, it said.
For those who want to learn the zombie moves before hand, there will be classes at the Flying Dance Company on Oct. 19 and 27 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
